Three plays by MR Theatre
The Margaret River Theatre Group has embarked on a bold new venture with their latest production, presenting three short one act plays in the space of one evening, under the collective title of “A Threesome”.
Each of the plays, approximately 30-40 minutes in length, is directed and acted by different people to showcase the wide variety of skills of the group, with the welcome addition of new members to complement the old hands.
The evening of entertainment is being presented in the intimate setting of the District Club on Tunbridge Street. It will seat a maximum of eighty people per night, so make sure you get your tickets early.
Performance nights are June 11 & 12 then the following week June 19 & 20.
Doors and Bar open 7:00pm. Show starts 7:30pm.
Tickets cost $15 each and are available from Arts Margaret River.

Wondering what the shows are about ?
First up is “The Bond” Directed by Andrew Frith, featuring two new members Margaret Leavesly and Chantelle Cary, and also featuring Danni Carter a young lady with huge talent. “The Bond” is three overlapping stories of different circumstances, but all with a common bond of loneliness and alienation
Next is “A Time for Farewells” Directed by Carolyn Forte, and featuring old members Andrew Frith & Mark Robertson and first time members Jo Broadhurst and Clara Kotai. This is the story of the end of a relationship. A reflection of joy, pain, happiness and tears. A look back at what brought the main characters of Alex and Sarah to this point and the consequences of their actions.
To round out the evening on a pleasant note is the final play - a delightful comedy, “Last Tango in Little Margs” Directed by new member Zoe Cordwell, and featuring Carolyn Forte, Ian Smith, Mark Robertson and Joanna Wren. What does a small theatre group really get up to behind the curtains? How do they decide what the next show will be? Who has the biggest ego? The worst acting ability? This play will reveal all…. (Nudity ? Maybe not….) any resemblance to theatre group members or indeed townsfolk is purely coincidental.
