With the event this year being held on Sunday 24 October, participants can choose to enjoy the 10k scenic walk/run from the town centre to the rivermouth or the shorter 4km distance from the cemetery at Caves Road.

Online registrations for the 2010 Satterley Margaret River Fun Run and Walk are open, and participants wishing to take part can register and pay online by visiting the REGISTRATION PAGE and clicking on the RegisterNow button and following the prompts, or by downloading the official booking form on the same page.

Marilyn Hopkins from Rotary Club said that this is a Rotary Margaret River event and there really isn’t another like it and the proceeds will again stay locally.

“The event attracts around 500 participants and we encourage everyone of all fitness levels to take part.  It really is a fun event which can be used to prepare for other races,” she said.

The Rotary Margaret River Fun Run is a 10km walk/run from Margaret River’s town centre, past the vineyards along Wallcliffe Road and onto the Rivermouth Beach.  The event also has a 4km run/walk component starting at the cemetery car park. New start times: 10k assemble at 7.30am for an 8am start. 4k assemble at 8am for a 8.45am start

Participation in the Run costs $25 for adults and $5 for under 18s.  Family and team entries are also available as well as novelty awards!
