Please assemble at the Sports Oval at 7.15am, or earlier if you have to collect
an event package, for a prompt 8am start. Ample parking is available.
4km
Participants must be at the Wallcliffe Bush Fire Station start (car parking opposite the Cemetery) no later than 8am. Participants arriving after that time will not be permitted to start. Please allow sufficient time to access the Cemetery. Traffic will be busy and it can take longer than anticipated to get there. The 4k walk/run will start promptly at 8.45am
Official chest numbers to be clearly displayed on the front of the body and a ‘timing
chip’ which is to be attached to the ankle will be available with your
race day package.
Pick up your event package (including Race Number and Timing Chip) from Sportspower
on Saturday 22 October until 1.00 pm or at the 10k or 4k start on Sunday morning
23 October 2011.
Each entrant must sign the indemnity declaration on the Entry Form before the
event. If under 18, the parent or guardian must sign. The organisers reserve
the right to reject or cancel any entry at any time.
Each member’s entry in a corporate team entry must be placed in one envelope. Teams must have four entrants.
Pets, skateboards, roller-skates, roller blades and bikes are strictly forbidden
due to the risk of injury to competitors (baby pushers allowed).
10k walkers are welcome but should be aware that traffic control and water stations will close as the last runners pass through. Walkers are responsible for their own safety when crossing roads and should carry adequate supplies of water.
Free shower facilities have been made available by the Shire at the Recreation
Centre, near the starting line.
A free shuttle bus service will transport clothing and people from both start
lines to finish and return.
