HELEN TRENOS
Artistic Director & workshop co-ordinator

Helen trained as an actor at one of Australia's most prestigious acting schools: The West Australian Academy of Performing Arts. Since graduating in 1986, she has worked as an actor, teacher, director and theatre-maker in Melbourne and Perth .

Working for some of Australia's leading theatre companies (Playbox Theatre, Melbourne Workers' Theatre, Melbourne Theatre Company, Arena Theatre Company, The Hole in the Wall Theatre Company and the W.A Theatre Company) her acting career includes a range spanning drama, comedy, youth, political, cabaret and music theatre.

Her TV credits have included ongoing guest roles on the series Embassy, Corelli, Blue Heelers, and Neighbours.

In addition to an impressive acting career, Helen has co-devised new works, directed a wide-range of productions (Molière to Beckett); taught and trained emerging actors—and in 2004 co-founded  the award-winning Noble Rot Theatre Company.

And if her work with Noble Rot were not enough, Helen was awarded a Commonwealth Government Scholarship in 2005, and is pouring her wealth of professional experience into a PhD Creatics: creativity, acting and actor-training.
