These charts were prepared using data supplied by the Burerau of Meteorology taken over a five year period in the 1970s. Winds speeds, in kilometres an hour, and directions were averaged for each of the seasons. They show the south easterly winds, quite strong at times, prevail during all of summer. The south westerly winds, regarded as the cooling sea breeze, blows most afternoons. |
